Collaborative Communities: Strengthening Our Schools

Over the past few weeks, I’ve had the chance to reach out to many community groups in Fort Saskatchewan, and so far I’ve had the privilege of discussing shared priorities with these wonderful organizations:
FCSS – Supporting families and community well-being
Youth Council – Empowering young voices and leadership
Public Library – Fostering community, curiosity, and lifelong learning
These conversations have been a reminder of something I deeply believe: strong schools are built through strong community connections. Listening to the people who support families, youth, and lifelong learning helps me better understand the challenges and opportunities facing our students.
Collaborating with community partners doesn’t just benefit schools — it benefits the entire city. By connecting schools with local organizations, we can ensure students have access to the resources, supports, and opportunities they need to thrive.
As a candidate, and as a parent and educator, I’m committed to listening, learning, and working together to strengthen our schools. Every conversation and shared insight helps build a vision for education in Fort Saskatchewan that values partnership, respect, and community.
If you’re part of a community group, organization, or initiative that supports families, youth, or education, I’d love to hear from you. Together, we can build stronger connections and create a community where every student has the opportunity to succeed.
